Hello Everyone,

Welcome to La Ran's Information Center. This time I'm showcasing my second Youtube.com video on Blogger.com I went to the local supermarket ShopRite on Saturday. It was a cold, snowy, and slippery Saturday afternoon. I live one block up from ShopRite, which is located on Riverdale Avenue in Yonkers, New York  10701. ShopRite is the biggest and best grocery store in Yonkers, New York.

I have resided in Yonkers, New York  since 2008, and I have always enjoyed shopping at the Yonkers ShopRite. I using my new WINBOOK 7"TW700 Tablet to record my first mobile video in recent years. I haven't fully got accustomed to my new tablet yet, However, I felt the local ShopRite store was the best choice to do the "Candid Camera" effect, for my Mobile Video. ShopRite has a clean, friendly, and economical environment, that all ShopRite customers seem to enjoy.

Although, Shoprite daily bargains and products prices are family oriented, ShopRite's weekly sales attracts single household consumers to purchase ShopRite's products everyday of the week. It seems like I advertising the local ShopRite store, However, this is one of my homework assignments from my Empire State College Digital Story-Telling course. In other words, I'm  just describing how professional and economical the neighborhood ShopRite is, through my Mobile Video. Blogger.com is a good supporter to college students.

MI TOPIC OF RELATED CHOICE: DANCE HALL MUSIC

My name is Randy McNair. My stage name is D.J. La Rock. I have been a professional Disc Jockey for several years. I was born in the South Bronx in the original St. Ann’s Hospital. My life began in Brooklyn, New York. I lived with my family in the Red-Hook Projects. I have two brothers and four sisters. My oldest brother was James David McNair aka Uncle Jimmy Mack. My famous brother comedian Jimmy was in that untimely accident with Tracy Morgan in 2014. The same Tracy Morgan that used to perform on Saturday Night Live. I was famous and modest as my Jimmy Mack, before I was robbed in 2005.

I was robbed by an evil landlord named Philip Boyle Jr. Before I was robbed. I was a professional Disc Jockey with my own business and I specialized in Old School Music. My music collection consisted of Old School and Modern Music dating back to the 1940’s. Mr. Boyle stole everything I owned, which included professional disc jockey equipment, rare old school music, modern music, rare movies, modern movies, furniture, diplomas, certificates, cellphones, rare clothes, modern clothes, and food.

Today, I’m still a professional Disc Jockey and college student at Empire State College, pursuing a BA in Media Arts & Communications. I have achieved the majority of Communications with an A.S. In Media Arts & Communications at Westchester Community College. My topic of choice is to focus on Dance Music History. I have played the genres of House Music, Disco, R & B, Jazz, Contemporary, Popular, Techno, and Easy Listening through my career. I had a diversified music collection in the mediums of vinyl records, compact cassettes, Condensed Discs and DVDs.

I choose to write about Dance Hall Music, because I performed to live audiences in the clubs during the juice bar era, disco era, house music era, and hip-hop era. I also performed at public events, private affairs, and I was the Musical Director of The Brothers Productions Comedy Shows and After Parties, where Uncle Jimmy Mack was the host and co-producer. I have had 9 successful internships on W.AR.Y, Westchester Community College’s own radio station.  A grand Master of the MASTERMIX PARTY MIX, I become known for the creating the BOUNCE ROCK MIX on sound systems that do not exist today.

On today mass media circuits, you basically hear songs with sampled or remediated music  in the background from the past. I would certainly like to discuss a lot of rare music in my path of inquiry. In the original music from the 1940’s to 1980’s, most performers of singers, musicians, writers, producers, and directors, collaborated on musical projects at one time or another. I enjoy will sharing my experience and knowledge of the World of Dance Hall Music.
